Brian Horgan demonstrates how rotations orders work while creating a character animation in Maya, providing some examples of how rotation orders are important, and why rotation orders can make a character behave strangely.

A short tutorial I made while studying at iAnimate to explain to the other students how rotation orders can affect your animation and how to change them on a shot that’s already animated without breaking the animation

Brian takes a look at how rotation orders can effect the animation and provides possible solutions for changing them on an animation without actually destroying what you have created. Brian mentions the zooChangeRoo script which will change the rotation order of already animated objects easily and is part of the zooTools for Maya by Hamish McKenzie.
