If you have been keeping up with the progress of the Tools4D new Collage Shader for Cinema 4D, you are probably either pretty excited at the results, astounded at its flexibility and uses, or probably both.

We have seen an example already for creating landscapes using the Collage Shader by Holger Biebrach, however this one goes a step further and shows the progress that is being made in the Collage Shader’s ability for Displacement Optimizations.

This shows how easy it is to generate virtual landscape derived from real world data using the collage shader

With this Collage shader virtual landscape workflow example, real life Height Data is being used to create a single tile with the Collage Shader that can be then used to build up a complete landscape, seamlessly and completely tile-able. Some pretty amazing stuff with some great results.
