In a short and to the point tip, Alexander Volkov shows a simple solution to rendering an image while using particles. The issue arises when you have a simulation happening in the viewport, however the render does not reflect what is being seen at the current frame.

Here, Alexander is using thinking particles with the MoGraph Module, where a sweepNURBS connected with tracers that are chasing the clones.
