A new addition in the series for creating and animating characters using After Effects from Daniel Gies, where he shows how to create the IK and FK rig for the characters using Nicolas Dufresne’s DuIK Tools which will allow you to create simple IK chains for character rigs in After Effects.

In this lesson we finally get to apply some inverse kinematics to Rocket Randee using Duik Tools

Daniel shows how to install the DuIK Tools into After Effects, and demonstrates building the IK rig for the arms and legs of the character. Recently Nicolas Dufresne teased some up-coming features for DuIK version 14, which is currently under development, and will add automated spring-like dynamics, rotation morph, and Bones.
