MoGraph Candy’s Dan Conrad takes a look at modeling a Connect Four Board Game in Cinema 4d using spline modeling techniques, and uses Dynamics to have the game pieces fall into place.

In this Mograph Candy tutorial we are going to model a dynamic Connect Four board game in Cinema 4D

As a large part of the model is a hole-ridden shape, Dan also shows a technique for modeling holes, that doesn’t use the Boole functions of C4d. Dan doesn’t actually take it as far (although someone probably could) as making it an actual playable game right in Cinema 4D, however that aside, this is a great look at a range of modeling techniques to put together a seemingly simple, yet challenging object.
