Using Xpresso to Interactively Animate Pinball Flippers By Clicking a Button in the Viewport

By August 13, 2013No Comments

AJ Haines in taking on an Xpresso challenge walks through the process of creating Pinball Flippers that will animate interactively right in the Cinema 4D Viewport, simply by clicking a button.

Just a simple little setup that lets you interactively activate pinball flippers whenever you hit a button in your user data(or viewport)

AJ uses a sine wave in a trigonometric node to create the flipper up / down motion and notes that this will lay out a couple of core concepts that are important when using Xpresso in Cinema 4D in order to achieve this result. AJ also notes that you are able to slow down the flipper movement by adding a math node right before the trigonometric that is set to divide, which will make it go slower.
