MoGraph Candy’s Dan Conrad offers a look at using the the Cloth Tag in Cinema 4D, using the Dress-O-Matic function for creating clothing around characters.

The Cloth-O-Matic is meant to act as a method to fit geometry that is destined for cloth simulations around other geometry such as, but not limited to characters.

In this Cinema 4D tutorial, we will cover the Dress-O-Matic function of the Cloth Tag

In fact, this is actually a demonstration in how to use the Cloth Tag and the Dress-O-Matic feature in motion graphics work, expanding the uses for Cloth and Dress-O-Matic and experimenting with them in different ways.

Dan provides a few examples to provide a foundation for how the cloth and Dress functions work, and attempts to spark your imagination, looking at some creative uses for them both, including Cloth assisted modeling.
