Director David Bokser has been walking through some of the techniques and processes in creating Obsolete Robot’s short film Love in the Time of Advertising, and here he shows how they set up and rigged the billboards in the film, for a scene billboards were growing and popping up over time that had a time-lapse look to it.

Love in the Time of Advertising is an animated short film Written by Matt Berenty and David Bokser who also directed. It is a charming animated musical love story about a young man who actually lives inside a billboard who’s job it is to update the billboard’s advertisements. When he falls in love with a beautiful lady living across the highway, he has to use the only method he knows to get his message across – advertising.
