Easily Grow Vines in Modo 801, A Look at Modo’s New Nodal Workflow

1

Andy Brown demonstrates something that would have been virtually impossible in previous versions of Modo – Growing vines.

Andy Brown shows us how to use some of the new nodal workflows in MODO 801 to grow vines. The Foundry

This is a great example of how “procedural” Modo is becoming with recently incorporating some new nodal workflows. Using just three new features in 801 including  grow curves, the new curve probe node as well as using the new nodal shading environment you can easily create a system to grow vines.

Andy shows, in steps how you can incorporate some of the new tools into a more procedural workflow. As Andy notes,  having the rigging, particle and shading system in Modo much more integrated opens up a wide range of new possibilities that were unattainable in previous versions of Modo.

You can learn more about the new features in Modo 801 and discover upgrade and pricing deals over at the Foundry.
