Yanobox have released Nodes 2, the node-and-line motion graphics tool for After Effects, Apple Motion, Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro. The Nodes tools can easily combine text and graphics into 3D animations making connection between nodes with lines, taking it’s cues from node diagrams and complex network visualizations.

Nodes has always been a plugin that will run in multiple environments which include in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro, alongside Motion and After Effects. Nodes 2 supports the After Effects Camera functionality. This allows for a seamless integration with other industry-standard plugins that are also compatible with the 3D environment offered by AE.
What is New in Nodes 2
Nodes 2 is a complete rewrite from the original plugin. Particular focus has been set on providing a render engine that is far more capable. Nodes 2 delivers in much better performance, now easily supporting 50,000 particles along with unique font acceleration.
Nodes 2 now supports After Effects Camera Functionality, allowing you to use it in conjunction with other plugins that are compatible with After Effects’ 3D environment. As a result, all parameters for Nodes 2 have been defined in pixels for better accuracy.
Point Clouds in Nodes 2 can now be created from primitives, footage, or 3D models, allowing much more flexibility.
Nodes 2 now offers a new Connection Mode, which will define how the nodes get linked. This will allow you to use the distance between points to create organic looking graphics easily. Triangulation mode renders wireframes with hidden lines on imported 3D models
A new set of 3D effects makes its way into Nodes 2. Coordinates projection, noise, and wave oscillations have all been included allowing you to create more organic style motion for your animations.
