Warner McGee Shows You How To Create A Character in MODO

The Foundry have posted a new tutorial series that looks at creating characters using MODO. Hosted by the amazing Character Illustrator Warner McGee, the two part series covers the entire process for creating a character in MODO. This includes modeling the character from head to toe, UV, texturing lighting, posing and rendering with final touches in Photoshop.

Warner is a great resource to learn this stuff from, not only is he a skilled illustrator, but he is also technically savvy, showing you the correct methods and best practices for retopology in character faces and other areas requiring deformation.

Warner McGee has over 20 years of experience as a professional illustrator. Creating this stylized character will not only help you understand topics important to every character artist, but you will gain access to Warner’s secret workflows and artistic insights. By the end of the tutorial you will have a finished, rigged character and the knowledge you need to create 3D characters from your own design.
