The 3DGameArt Channel on Youtube has been posting some great tutorials that cover creating all kinds of procedural materials in Allegorithmic’s Substance Designer. Learn how to easily create a cracked earth material that is completely procedural, with a few connected nodes.

Allegorithmic’s Substance Designer represents the industry standard for physically based render texturing. Using Allegorithmic’s Substance technology which is a “best of” combination of bitmap textures and procedural textures, Substance Designer offers a non-destructive node based environment for creating Substance materials.
