There is no doubt that Mocha and After Effects work really well together. Mocha’s easy tracking and After Effects workflow make creating complicated VFX shots much, much easier.

Use Mocha Pro to distort a mesh on an organic shape using Adobe After Effects’ Puppet Tool.

Typically you would bring in corner pin data into AE for a mocha track. But what about using Ae’s Puppet Pins? What would happen if you were able to connect the After Effects’ Puppet Pins to Mocha tracking information?

Here, Senior Designer Animator Jason Hearne shows you how to do just that. Using an example of some recent work that Jason did, where paint had to flow over footage of a body. Jason shows how he and the Team at GSN, came up with a suction that would connected a mocha tracking data to the After Effects Puppet Pins to create the ink flowing effect.
