DGDM pushed out an update to Leuchtkraft, the tool that was formerly known as LightPaint. Version 1.2 adds new scene and layer management functionality to the lighting plugin for Autodesk Maya.

Update 1.2 brings improved Scene and Layer Management and SLiB VPR – embedded Viewport Render

Likely the biggest feature for the Maya lighting plugin, is a new viewport renderer. You can now render directly in the Maya viewport, which will definably speed up look development workflows.

SLiB Leuchtkraft (German for “luminosity”), is a Maya Plugin that provides a fast and accurate way to set up and control Lights. You can easily light your scene by either clicking or by drawing where you want the light to affect on the model. Drawing out the shape of the light directly on to the model, will create a light of that same shape, which is a pretty cool feature.

SLiB Leuchtkraft also houses lighting attributes including Intensity, Distance, Size, Rotation, Contribution and others, in one place, making it easy to control lights from a single window in Maya.

The SLiB Leuchtkraft plugin supports the Redshift v.1.2.60+, V-Ray v.3.0+ and Arnold. Check out DGDM’s SLiB Leuchtkraft for more information or to purchase for $199.00.
