There are no shortage of great third party renderers if you are a Cinema 4D user. From V-Ray, Maxwell, Arnold and Octane, all are extremely capable production driven renderers.

how to make a good DoF with Chromatic Aberration with Cinema 4D Physical Renderer

Not to forget the Physical renderer in Cinema 4D, Uwe Schweer-Lambers (Equiloud) shows how you can create some convincing lens effects with he built in renderer.

Say what you will about the physical renderer, but it is capable of creating some really nice images. Here, Equiloud shows how to create a nice Chromatic Aberration effect right in Cinema 4D. The tutorial also walks through getting some nice Depth of Field, all with C4D’s Physical renderer. You can download the scene file for the tutorial as well.

The physical renderer is not new, but it does have its drawbacks. It is not really standard, doesn’t have a lot of options, and it is pretty slow when compared to the myriad of choices that are out there right now for rendering. Having said that, it is pretty simple to use, and does give some great results, if you have the time.
