Ever use a camera rig when you are working in Blender?
One of the first things you are taught in creating CG, is that your camera should do what a real camera should be able to do, even if it is largely theoretic.
A rig can make your life easier, and help your complex shots to look a bit more convincing
Constraining your 3D camera can make a world of difference to your shot, making your CG sequence have more believability.
Using a camera rig in your shot will also make your life much easier. It is more simple to animate, and keep track of keys if a camera, (or any object) has a rig associated with it.
Here, Jonathan covers the benefits of using a camera rig in your work, looking at how and why you would want to use a rig in your next project.
In addition, Jonathan also offers a free camera rig for Blender, that you can use in your own work.
As a side note, there is also a Blender Add-on available that will allow you to create camera rigs easily. The Add Camera Rigs Add-on from Wayne Dixon, will add two new camera rigs under the Armature menu for easy access.
