Offsetting Animation With Clones & The Shader Effector

By January 27, 2016No Comments

Some animation is complex to produce, while other types look complex, but are actually really simple to put together. Case in point, with Joren Kandel’s look at using the Clones in C4D that gives a quick and easy set up with a complex looking result.

[pullquote]he concept is offsetting your animation by using a combination of cloner and a shader effector or plain effector[/pullquote]

Here, The Pixel Lab’s Joren Kandel shows how you can create a house of cards animation that will build itself by flipping the cards on the screen.

The technique uses clones in C4D along with the shader effector, used to offset the original animation onto the various clones at strategic times. Joren notes that the plain effector in C4D will also work here.
