Using Scanned LiDar Data in Cinema 4D with Sintrix

By February 17, 2016No Comments

Splicer TV’s Ryan Hussain shows off how you can use his Sintrix plugin in Cinema 4D which allows you to process and manipulate LiDar data.

Sintrix is a multi-streaming processor that is able to read millions of points. The plugin stores the points as a Sintrix object within Cinema 4D. The specialized object can then be used like any standard geometry.

If you need to work with LiDar data, the plugin offers a much better workflow than continually jumping back and forth between Cinema 4D and third-party LiDar software.

The LiDar data can be manipulated with any of of C4D’s toolset and you can see the results instantly in the viewport.

You can even convert a Sintrix object to thinking particles for more possibilities.
