How to Mask C4D Effectors Using Other C4D Effectors

Maxon’s Jonas Pilz Shares a Powerful Cinema 4D Technique of Using Effectors to Mask Other Mograph Effectors

In Cinema 4D, sometimes you might need to create a Mograph effect where one effector is masked out. For example, creating a linear transition, that also includes randomness.

You can simply do this in C4D by having one effector act as a mask on another. The key comes in using the Weight Transform parameter in the effector that you want to use as a mask for your scene. As long as the weight-giving effector is above the receiving effector, all should be well. A quick but essential tip from Jonas Pilz!
