How to Use Zbrush’s Normal Pass to Change Lighting in Photoshop

Danny Mac Shows How You Can Change Lighting On Zbrush Renders Using the Object Space Normal Pass

Danny Mac showed off his technique for getting renders out of Zbrush and into Adobe Photoshop, which primarily involved using the Zbrush to Photoshop CC plugin that is native to the sculpting application. The plugin will generate a series of passes that you can use to spice up your renders or recompile them back into a single beauty pass. One of the passes that it creates is an Object Space Normal Pass or an OS Normal layer in Photoshop.

This layer can be used to change the lighting of your render, right in Photoshop. Danny Mac walks through how to use the Normal Pass to change the direction of the lights on the rendering.
