Chuck Trafagander Shows How to Create a Custom Edge Damage Filter for Hand Painted Textures in Substance Designer.

Edge damage is a great way to add wear and tear to your models, and there are a lot of ways that you can do this in 3D applications. If you are working with Substance Designer, you should have a look at Chuck Trafagander’s (Get Learnt) latest tutorial that shows how to create a custom edge damage filter.

The tutorial switches things up a bit, looking at using Substance Designer to create materials for objects. Trafagander first starts by creating a hand painted material and then looks at building the custom edge filter. You can use the end result for all your hand-painted textures in the future.
