Move Shapes shows how to animate a fish using Ae’s puppet pins and a looping expression.

Peter Arumugam also known as Move Shapes online shows off how to create a beautiful animated fish in After Effects. The technique makes use of Ae’s latest enhancements to the puppet pin tools to develop the body movement when you key the wave motion a simple loopOut expression.

The next part of the tutorial shows how to animate the fish along a path moving it across the scene in an s-curve type of shape. A previous tutorial from Moving Shapes also worked with vectors differently, showing how to create a walk cycle without some plugins quickly.
