QuickVFX has a look at using Cinema 4D R20 Fields to create a decaying apple effect.
Fields are a great way to do some pretty intricate things in C4D R20 and QuickVFX has a new tutorial that shows how you can use Fields for creating animation. The tutorial covers making a disintegration type of simulation in creating a simple decaying apple effect.
The technique uses another new feature to R20, the Volume Builder to build the apple and then uses fields to make and control the rotting effect. The Fields feature is a great way to do this type of thing, just by adding a couple of keyframes for the voxel range threshold.
