Easily Fix Fractional Keyframes With Keyframe Correct 2

Shinsuke Matsumoto’s script for After Effects makes short work of snapping fractional keyframes to the proper time.

As far as I know, there is no global setting in After Effects that lets you negate fractional keyframes as they arise – and they do occur often. If you scale your keys proportionally or use one of the graph editor tools to bulk move keys, chances are you will have created fractional keys. Not to worry though, a new update to a tool from Shinsuke Matsumoto makes it easier than ever to snap those pesky frames back to “whole” time.

Why are fractional keyframes such a detriment to your work? Well, as an example if you have a smear frame for one frame and it doesn’t land on “a whole” value in time, it doesn’t get rendered. All other applications that animate have more advanced animation features like snapping to whole frames. Keyframe Correct 2 is super-easy to use. All you need to do is to select the composition you want to correct keyframes, and then click “Keyframe Correct” button (all layers mode). So the script nudges keyframes.
