VFX Artist Adrian Meyer takes Houdini Vellum a step further to create a complex and very procedural simulation setup that makes use of Vellum’s position based dynamics solver. The tutorial covers the procedural set up along with the dynamics system to create the cell division effect.
The tutorial comes in three parts with part one covering the basic setup for the cell and creating the DOP network while making a cell splitter SOP HDA. Part two dives into creating vellum constraints in DOPs. You’ll have to wait a bit for part three of the tutorial which will be coming soon.
