Working With ExtendScript and the Render Queue

NT Productions shows how you can add items to the After Effects render queue and more tricks with ExtendScript.

There is little doubt that After Effects and Adobe ExtendScript together can be magical. You can access pretty much any part of Ae with scripting. In recent days NT Productions‘ Nathan Lovell is covering a lot of scripting tips and tricks and his latest looks into working with and controlling the render queue in After Effects.

The tutorial covers how to add items to render, and how to change the output module for each entry. That includes things like the format, output type, name, and location. There are also some tips in here and one of those includes how to use one line of code so that you can render out of Adobe Media Encoder instead of After Effects. Nathan’s last tutorial covered similar control over composition in After Effects – Check that out here.
