Quentin Rossetto teaches us how to model and texture a realistic pickle using Side FX Houdini.
Of course one of the first things I blurted out coming across this tutorial was “Pickle Rick!”. Cartoon catch phrases aside, VFX artist Quentin Rossetto posts a two-parter demonstrating the process for making a pickle in Houdini. The first part looks into creating the low poly from a cylinder, while the second dives into sculpting and texturing the model using VOPs.
I'm always interested in food-based #Houdini tutorials….. https://t.co/J7I7xb0Aa0

It’s worthwhile to note that Rossetto’s last tutorial showed us how to peel a potato digitally in Side Effects Houdini. Maybe he is moving towards a completely food-based tutorial system.
