Get started with the Aero Solver in This Bifrost Masterclass

Get the low-down on the New Bifrost Aero Solver from Bifrost Designer Konstantinos “Kosta” Stamatelos.

Autodesk recently announced a new feature in Maya, Bifrost. You might be thinking that Bifrost isn’t new to Maya – it’s been around for a long time! It seems that was Bifrost Fluids. Now Bifrost is a visual programming environment. It offers a node-based VFX graph that allows you to create effects like dust storms, fire, snow, and sand.

Have a look at this in-depth tutorial from Bifrost Designer Konstantinos “Kosta” Stamatelos who walks us through how to make full use out of Bifrost Aero Solver. Kosta shows how to get up and running with Aero sims quickly and then gets into some of the details behind the graph layouts and the workflows.

If you are interested in learning more about some behind the scenes solver stuff with Bifrost, have a look at these other masterclasses. One is from Michael B. Nielson who dives into the combustion solver, and another vid from Robert Bridson, who explains the math that makes Bifrost’s Aero solver so powerful.
