How to Create a Fake Fluid Effect in C4D

CG SHortcuts shows how you can create a fake fluid effect in C4D using the inheritance effector.

Using fluid dynamics is fun, but it can be a little hard to art-direct if you don’t plan your setup right. Why not get a fluid effect without using dynamics at all? In this tutorial, CG Shortcuts’ Dave Bergin shows how you can use deformers and effectors to get a liquid effect without the cost of handling dynamics.

The technique uses the inheritance Effector to create the Fake Fluid in C4D. As always, you can download the free project file and use it in your own motion graphics work.

A little while ago, we watched The Pixel Lab and The Renderking showing how you can animate fluids in Cinema 4D without using plugins.
