The Pixel Lab and Render King show how to create and animate fluids in Cinema 4D.
Cinema 4D users are pretty spoiled with the amount of high-end third-party plugins and tools that are out there for their DCC. IF you want to work with fluids, for example, you have Turbulence FD, RealFlow C4D, X-Particles, FumeFX, and the free plugin Jetfliuds. Pretty great right? But what if you don’t want to use a plugin? Check out this tutorial from another collaboration featuring the Pixel Lab and the REnder King showing how to animate fluids in C4D using Mograph.
The tutorial covers a few tricks to animate fluids, using a loft, some soft body dynamics, and some tips for rendering too. A fluid calculation essentially will also calculate smoke too. If you want to create smoke without using any plugins, then have a look at Athanasios Pozantzis’ tutorial for creating smoke and clouds with pure C4D.
