Houdini Digital Assets is a ubiquitous package from Houdini that you can use in virtually any other DCC running Houdini Engine. Have a look at this latest tutorial from Indie-Pixel (Kenny Lammers), who shows off six tips and tricks you can use when working with HDAs.
“I wanted to cover things like embedding assets into an HDA and the difference of an Object-level HDA and a SOP level HDA,” Lammers says. There are also a few other tricks you might find handy when creating your procedural systems in Houdini.
