How to Use Bifrost to Clean Meshes Before Remeshing

The Maya Learning Channel looks at using Bifrost to prepare and clean meshes before auto retopo.

With Maya 2020, came the release version of Remesh and Retopologize tools. These tools, however, rely on clean geometry. Objects need to have no holes, non-manifold geometry, floating faces, or other issues. Manually cleaning up objects can take a lot of time, but you can use Maya Bifrost to help.

The Maya learning channel, looks at using Bifrost to prep a mesh before you use the Remesh and Retopologize tools. Using a Bifrost Compound, you don’t need to go in and manually fix all the invalid geometry like hols, lamina faces, and non-manifold geometry. Great!
