A new tutorial from Junichiro Horikawa covers working with algorithms within Side FX Houdini to create a hyperbolic tiling pattern. Junichiro includes the underlying flows for creating a hyperbolic structure and shows how to create the setup in Houdini.
“In this video, I’m showing how you can create a hyperbolic pattern on a Poincare disk model using Houdini,” Junichiro says. “You can also change the position of the initial position of the first polygon to start the tiling.”
