For those Maya animators who have or are thinking of adding Blender as an animation tool, they might want to search out similar features. One of the best animation toolsets for Autodesk Maya is Animbot. A new video from Luciano A. Muñoz Sessarego asks the question, “Do you need animbot for Blender?”

While trying to replicate some of Animbot’s functionality in Blender, Luciano shows that there are already bundled tools in Blender that you can use and still feel at home. Missing Animbot-like features you can likely find in an Add-on. “but all in all, Blender isn’t really very far behind.”
