New FontMate Manages Fonts on a Project Level in Ae

Vdodna’s FontMate helps you quickly change fonts, apply presets, and collect files.

A new After Effects add-on, Fontmate, was born as a need to change all the text layers all at once over a long run of template-based projects for Liran Tabib. The resulting tool is one that makes managing fonts in After Effects incredibly simple.

FontMate for After Effects.

The new Ae tool can quickly batch replace and change fonts for any After Effects project. You can also use it to apply presets to texts in all Ae projects or replace missing fonts. FontMate can even collect fonts, just as you can with collecting files for projects, but fonts!

“The idea to create FontMate came after a long run of Template-based projects, so instead of adapting the template one text layer at a time, we can now change all the text layers at once to the project needs (fonts and presets) and even adapt it to the project language.”

The AE Add-On Lets You:

  • Batch Replace/Change All Fonts in the project.
  • Batch Replace/Change a specific Font/weight in the project.
  • Apply saved Preset to all the text layers or specific ones.
  • Replace missing fonts.
  • Fix font-related issues.
  • Collect fonts (just like collect files but for fonts!).

FontMate is available through Vdodna for $29.00 and is compatible with After Effects CC 2017-2020, Windows, and macOS. It supports all languages too.
