Displacer Pro works on the GPU and has more features than Ae’s Displace Effect – and it will be free.

I’d bet if you ask any After Effects user what effects need updating, quite a few will have the Displacement effect on their list. Plugin Everything will soon release Displacer Pro, for free, that offers a few more features than the default Ae displace effect, including working on the GPU.
