There are a couple of tools out there that work using similar principles. Take Nible Nimbus, for example. Element Supply Company‘s cloud and smoke making tool for After Effects. The Ae Preset allows you to create clouds, smoke, and other flowing, looping effects. Nimbus works as a text preset in After Effects.
