Motion Science shows how you can tweak lens blur effects using shape layers.

A new tutorial from Cameron Pierron (Motion Science) shows how you can easily customize the camera lens blur effect in After Effects. Pierron shows how you can use a superficial shape layer and a gradient to control what parts of the image get the blur and spice up your pictures.

This process is better than using After Effects’ gradient effects, and it’s easier to see what you are doing.
