How to Use Workplanes for Modeling in Cinema 4D

Modeling at origin is commonplace, but there are times when you’d like to model at an arbitrary axis, and that’s where Cinema 4D’s Workplanes come in.

Workplanes allow you to move the grid into positions to model new objects in place. The quick tip shows you how to use the Workplane tools to adjust the World Workplane to do more effective Modeling without moving your Objects.
