Sine / Noise Node for Maya Creates a Noise or Sine Vector to Transform Objects

By June 13, 2012No Comments

Ian Waters shares his Sine / Noise Node is a A utility node for Autodesk Maya that creates a noise or sine vector to move, scale or rotate objects. Ian notes that he recently found himself typing dozens upon dozens of expressions to move objects based on sin(time) with varying frequencies and amplitudes. With Maya not having a built in node for this – he quickly wrote one.

Check out the Sine / Noise Node for Maya here.

This node outputs a vector that you can plug into anything you like (translation / rotation / scale for example) and features output based on a vector either sine or perlin noise. Sine / Noise Node also has a helper MEL script to make connections for you.
