Rendering & Compositing Motion Vectors for NUKE Using Maya Mental Ray

By August 7, 2012One Comment

Hector Bermudez posts a look at the process of creating and compositing motion blur from Maya into Nuke by rendering motion vectors from Maya Mental Ray. Hector also shows how to hook up all the renders in NUKE to get the motion blur working from the tech pass renders.

This is Hector’s video interpretation using techniques outlined Nick Guth called “The unofficial guide for using Motion Vectors from Maya in Nuke” [direct link] from way back in 2010 where he documented the process if you are interested in looking at the original pdf.
