Using the Cinema 4D Explosion FX Deformer

By November 12, 2012One Comment

Digital Sandwich’s Glen Faught returns with an interesting look at the Cinema 4D Explosion FX Deformer, a deformer in Cinema that will create simple explosion type effects based on the objects selected. As Glen notes, the Cinema 4D Explosion FX Deformer sounds a lot cooler than it actually is, however, you are still able to do some pretty interesting things with it.

This tutorial quickly goes over set up as well as some tips and tricks for Cinema 4D’s Explosion FX Deformer

Here, Glen walks us through the Explosion FX Deformer’s properties, and explores some possible creative uses as well. For Physical explosions, Glen notes that the  Nitro4D’s free Thrausi plugin, or even his  NitroBlast plugin are great solution for blowing objects up in Cinema 4D, rather than the stylized object explosions of the Explosion FX Deformer. Check out Digital Sandwich’s post for the Explosion FX deformer and learn in more detail what each option does here.
