Using Spider’s Web Maker in Maya to Place Spider Webs on Objects

By October 24, 2013No Comments

Just in time for halloween, BolekCG offers a rundown for using his Spider’s Web Maker Script for Autodesk Maya, showing how to use it to place various types of cobwebs on objects in a scene.

Spider’s Web Maker will automaticly create curves that will look kind of spider’s web

Recalling from an earlier post, Spider’s Web Maker was inspired by Fabricio Chamon’s Aging Cobwebs tool for Softimage and similarly, Spider’s Webs Maker does a bit of particle sampling to place the initial points at which the webs are going to be, and then uses those samples in the connections tab to create the curves for the cobwebs.
