Create Cel Shaded Animated Paint Strokes in Cinema 4D

By December 12, 2014No Comments

eyedesyn_cel_4EJ Hassenfratz shows how to create animated paint strokes in C4D, continuing his exploration on the cel shaded or cel animation theme. EJ uses only C4D native tools for this, meaning there are no special particle plugins or add ons needed.

EJ uses a simple object to motivate the animated paint strokes, then uses a tracer object to trace out a spline that metaball objects will follow along in the end. The result can then be cel shaded using the C4D sketch and toon shaders.
