Giorgio Luciano Shows How to Create an Amazing-Looking Membrane Image With Cinema 4D.

Biomedical Visualization Artists and Researcher Giorgio Luciano covers how he created a fantastic looking membrane render using Cinema 4D and a couple of freely available tools. Luciano shows how he created the scene, and his rendering choices using Arnold Render for Cinema 4D.

The tutorial mentions a few free and open source tools that include Cell MicrocosmosMembrane Editor which is a cell modeling and 3d visualization tool. The other is Chimera, a molecular modeling system that Luciano uses for the bulk of the objects needed. Cinema 4D’s Cloner does short work in creating the structure, using the models from Chimera.
