With all the fantastic work created with some of Cinema 4D’s plugins, it’s easy to forget that perhaps you can do things with the app itself. RealFlow, Turbulence FD, and other plugins make for some spectacular images, but some of those types of effects you can do on your own right in Cinema 4D — Certainly smoke and clouds.

Athanasios Pozantzis (the Noseman) shows how you can create make and clouds using Cinema 4D without any plugins at all. The video comes as the first in a series that peers into the process for setting up static volume-like effects, or in other words, no moving simulations.
