Fabricio Chamon Shows How to Take Advantage of COPs to Create a Procedural Texture Generator With Houdini.

Houdini’s procedural framework allows for a vast variety of workflows. As an example of this, Houdini FX TD Fabricio Chamon shows how you can take advantage of Houdini’s procedural nature to create a procedural texture generator similar to something you would see inside of Substance Designer.

Leveraging Houdini’s COPs or Compositing Operators, Fabricio shows the method for creating a generator that allows you to change almost all attributes of the image procedurally. A simple brick texture works well as the example, allowing Fabricio to walk through the process of building one, noting elements of the network along the way.
