Christoph Schädl Shows a quick setup for passing Bifrost field data over to a shader.

Over the last little while, Christoph Schädl has dove into working with the new Bifrost scatter nodes, sharing some of his discoveries. A new video shows how easy it is to pass Bifrost field data over to an Arnold shader.

It’s merely a matter of getting the point position for that object, sampling the field, converting the data to a float4, and then working with Arnold’s User Data. If you updated to Arnold MtoA, 4.2, make sure you are using Bifrost 2.2.0.2.

Check out some of the other Christoph’s Scattering tricks here.
