Maya Shader Setup for Modelers

By August 16, 20113 Comments

Josh Robinson a bad-ass lead Artist at Lucas film (unsure why people seem to continually make defend his standing in the community these days, he really shouldn’t have to!) shows how to create a super simple but really effective shader setup with ambient occlusion in Maya to show off models quickly without long render times. For more great tutorials and information be sure to check out Josh Robinson’s personal page here.

Josh notes: “I’ve gotten a few request to show how to do a decent shader set up for modelers. In this video I show you how I create a very simple Maya shader with ambient occlusion so that you can display your models more effectively without lengthy render times or complicated set ups.
