Eric from Fresh Maya Tutorials brings up a Maya / Max parallel tools question and demonstrates how someone can create the similar affect of the “Inset” function in 3D Studio Max while using Autodesk Maya… Although it is a simple solution (and while still in the extrude manipulator, scale would work as well as the offset attribute), it really isn’t as elegant or as quick as doing an Inset in 3Ds Max. Does anyone know of anything parallel in Maya that is quicker… lets hear about your kung-fu!
